Lyonchhen (Dr) Lotay Tshering met the officials of Royal Civil Service Commission on December 25, 2018. Lyonchhen and RCSC held discussions on the mandates, transformations and key challenges the RCSC faces.

Lyonchhen said that the 111th National Day’s address by His Majesty the King was directed to the civil servants where he felt the key message was for the civil servants and the government to work together.

Lyonchhen shared that the government has decided to come up with measure such as ‘Footprints of the National Day’ which would:

a) Focus on message from the National Day address which would access the key message from the address and then provide follow through actions within 1 year.

b) Focus on the Dzongkhag of celebration.

He explained that there must be a vision and a reason for choosing a particular Dzongkhag and so the government would work for social and economic development of the Dzongkhag, not disregarding the other Dzongkhags.

He urged RCSC to focus on efficiency and the sincere assistance to work together for the greater good of the nation.
