Mr. Sonam Tobgye has been selected as the Director of the Office of the Prime Minister (PMO) following an open competitive selection process, conducted by the Royal Civil Service Commission from 26th December 2023 through 5th January 2024.

In his capacity as PMO Director, Sonam will serve as the Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister.

As part of the civil service transformation initiative, the Cabinet Secretariat now comprises two departments: Office of the Cabinet Affairs & Strategic Coordination (OCASC) and the Office of the Prime Minister (PMO).
