This is to inform the residents of Thimphu that movement within the mega-zones will be permitted without having to carry the cards starting tomorrow, February 3, 2022.

Please note that only walking and cycling are allowed. Also, in addition to the essential shops approved by the thromde, all grocery stores can now operate from 9am to 6pm.

Should you require stepping out of homes for unavoidable reasons, please ensure proper use of face masks. Gathering of any sort is strictly disallowed. We also request you to avoid the red buildings and clusters with positive cases that are being guarded.

The gradual reopening process will be complemented by intensive surveillance of the disease in the community. This will be observed until February 6, 2022, and further update will be shared based on the COVID-19 assessment on the ground. Finally, we urge everyone to get tested if you have any flu like symptoms.
