བློན་ཆེན་དང་ལྷན་རྒྱས་གཞུང་ཚོགས་ཡིག་ཚང་།

His Excellency Mr Takei Shunsuke, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan called on Prime Minister Dr Lotay Tshering this evening.
The foreign minister shared that Japan was deeply touched by the love and prayers from Bhutan during the passing of their former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. He highlighted that the close ties between our countries have been fostered by respect and trust between the peoples of the two countries.
The prime minister shared updates on Bhutan on the reform process, ongoing parliament session and the status of LDC graduation. He shared that with the graduation Bhutan and Japan need to redesign the collaboration between the countries.
The foreign minister reaffirmed Japan’s assistance and support to Bhutan, and highlighted that he looks forward to strengthening the relations between the two countries.
This is the second minister-level visit from Japan since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1986.
