More than 1,200 tests were conducted in the designated testing centres across the megazones and the nearby BHUs in Thimphu today, following the announcement to facilitate movement of stranded individuals with an RT-PCR test.

While the testing is still underway as we issue this notice, the RCDC has started receiving the samples. Please note that the samples are in addition to the series of tests being carried out in the flu clinics amid heightened surveillance.

After RCDC completes the processing of samples, the results will be shared with the 1010 HelpDesk as soon as available. The HelpDesk will issue the e-passes for the stranded travellers based on the results. You will also receive SMS when the e-passes are approved.

Those with private cars can travel upon clearance by the 1010 HelpDesk, along with the CPMS registration.

For those without private cars, the RSTA has arranged phase-wise movements as follows. Please visit the website www.rsta.gov.bt for more information on transport, timing and other requirements.
