Mr Martin Raiser, Vice President of the World Bank-South Asia Region called on Prime Minister Dr Lotay Tshering this afternoon.
Mr Raiser commended Bhutan for the excellent management of COVID-19 pandemic with focus on both medical and social sectors.
Attributing Bhutan’s pandemic success to the leadership of His Majesty The King and support from all the partners, prime minister also updated the World Bank team on the ongoing numerous transformation initiatives in Bhutan.
Other areas of cooperation in renewable energy and health were also discussed.
