Bringing live the information and data available in the government, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) launched the PMO Dashboard to cater to the office this afternoon.
Speaking at the event, Lyonchhen Dr Lotay Tshering said the dashboard is not only timely but will make dynamic details available for the ongoing formulation of the 13th five year plan.
This dashboard is significant, taking into consideration the benefits it is expected to rein in such as making timely data available within the domain of governance, promoting data quality and reliability, and disseminating adequate information.
This effort is expected to open up valuable government data, increase reliance on data for informing policies and decisions, and enhance digitalisation of data providing agencies. It will be upscaled in the forthcoming months to fully integrate with existing systems to fetch live data.
The PMO drove the implementation of the dashboard. Key domestic stakeholders include the Department of Information Technology and Telecom (Ministry of Information and Communications). Funded by the International Telecommunication Union, Filoi (Pvt) Ltd. India designed and developed the dashboard.
Ms. Atsuko Okuda, the regional director of International Telecommunications Union (ITU) for Asia and the Pacific led the international group.
