The partner of the 76-year-old patient who became the first confirmed coronavirus case in the country today, the travel guide and the driver all tested negative.

They were among the first batch of 18 suspects, all showing negative, according to the results Royal Centre for Disease Control (RCDC) released a while ago.

Prime Minister Dr Lotay Tshering also announced the outcome on BBS, as he goes live to clarify doubts triggered by the news of the first COVID-19 patient.

The RCDC is working on the second batch of 22 samples as of now.
